Does Google Hate Article Marketing?

Just to be clear, I'm not claiming the "death of article marketing", BUT...

There are some VERY compelling statements made by Matt Cutts (head Engineer at Google) in a recent video.

I strongly suggest that you watch this YouTube video right now. It's a huge wake up call for anyone who wants free traffic:

Mark Cutts answer to "Do you recommend article marketing as an SEO strategy?"

If you are in a rush, let me summarize some of the key points for you:

"I'm not a huge fan of article marketing"

Submitting articles to article directories equals...

"Duplicate content. Duplicate anchor text links. No value added to the web"

The big question is...

Is article marketing DEAD?

No.

Has it changed?

Definitely.

FACT: You may already know that a few months back, Google penalized many article directories (like EzineArticles.com), discounting any backlinks they give you.

Some article directories watched their traffic instantly plummeted 70% or more!

That's why this *hidden* source of highly- targeted free traffic is even more powerful:

This does NOT involve article directories.

Getting backlinks from niche-specific, good quality websites is EXACTLY what the search engines want to see.

Take a look at how easy this is once you tap into this *private* site network:

...*without* tricking, manipulating or gaming Google. Plenty of proof shown here:

P.S. - Back in 2001-2006, submitting articles to article directories was my primary source of getting links and traffic. These days, you can't just auto submit a few articles and expect massive traffic. You need some help. That's what this is all about. It works great. Check it out:
